BalanceWORKS Password Policy

Effective MM DD, 2023, Berkshire will be implementing a new Password Policy for all balanceAAP, balanceTRAK, and REACH. Software users, who add or change their password after this date will be required to use a password that, at a minimum, meets the standards set in policy shown below. This new policy was designed to be current with modern security standards, which are constantly evolving. The new Password Policy will not be enforced for the accounts utilizing Single Sign-On (SSO).
Security Notice and Procedures
The Password and login procedures will conform to system defaults or your organization's security requirements, whichever are stricter. Requirements are based on:- Number of characters
- Use of upper/lower case, symbols, and numerals
- Password expiration
- Reuse of Password
- Number of log-in attempts allowed
Users are notified to the email address of record when the Password is updated. Contact your organization's System Administrator for help with logging into balanceTRAK.
Default Password Policy
- At least one upper case letter
- At least one lower case letter
- At least one number
- Be at least 8 characters
- Not allow more than 3 stored passwords
- Not allow more than 5 failed attempts before lock out
- Allow user to log in again after 15 minutes
