Berkshire continually strives to develop and deliver the best products and services to support our clients, and we rely heavily on your feedback when considering the strategic direction of our company. As the need for regulatory, compensation, and diversity-related products and services continues to grow, Berkshire is working to ensure we can help you meet your company’s objectives.

As a result of these new demands and opportunities, we have made the difficult decision to sunset our Applicant Tracking product, balanceTRAK. The product will be retired on December 31, 2024, providing you and your team with 18 months to transition to a new vendor.

Sunset Timeline

  • July 1, 2023: Official notification about product sunset is sent
  • December 31, 2023: 2024 Annual subscription renewal is due
  • December 31, 2024: Last day to access balanceTRAK

Frequently Asked Questions

What should we expect from balanceTRAK before sunset?

Berkshire will continue to maintain balanceTRAK during this time to make sure the product remains stable and secure until sunset. Severe issues reported in functionality will be addressed, but enhancements and minor fixes will cease as of July 1, 2023.

Will Berkshire help me find a new ATS vendor?

We understand that finding a new ATS vendor is not a small or easy task. If you would like Berkshire to consult with you on vetting a new ATS vendor, we can provide you with this consulting support at our hourly rate.

What happens when I select a new ATS?

After selecting a new ATS, you will need to meet with your new vender and decide what balanceTRAK information you would like to move over and when you will begin using the new system.

How do I cancel my balanceTRAK account?

Please contact your Account Executive or Berkshire Product Support team to begin the balanceTRAK cancellation process.

How can I get my data out of balanceTRAK?

The archivebalanceTRAK Archive functionality within balanceTRAK allows our customers to export all information out of the system. Product Support will also be available to assist customers as needed, and custom exports can be performed at an hourly rate to help customers convert to a specific ATS if requested.

What happens if I have open requisitions when I switch over to the new ATS vendor?

You have the choice to keep the requisition open in balanceTRAK (until the close date or until the sunset date whichever comes first) or you can close the requisition in balanceTRAK and re-open it using your new ATS system.

What is the official sunset date for balanceTRAK?

December 31, 2024

Change Requisition Category between Open and Closed

The current Requisition Category will be indicated on the right side of the Requisition detail header (along with a secondary description, if applicable):

  • Pending
  • Open
  • OR

  • Closed

Quick Reminders: A Requisition undergoing an Approval Process will be: Pending. If an Approval Process is not associated with the Requisition, it will automatically be Open when created. Once Open, a Requisition cannot be returned to Pending.

To change the Category, access Details on the left side of the Requisition's Summary tab. In the lower Actions toolbar, click the [Open], or alternatively [Close], button to change the Requisition Category.
