Working with Plan tabs

From the Recent Plans tab, the tab header also provides access to: Open Plan, Create Plan, and Delete Plan.

Quick Reminder: A navigational link in the header bar is available to open the Recent Plans list in a new window.

View Recent Plans

Once plans are created, the Recent Plans list displays them in order of the date Last Opened. Sub plans appear indented below the corresponding Master Plan.

Plan Types by Icon

Icons in the far right column of each row identify plan type for each existing plan:plan.

Annual Plans:

• 
  [R] Annual Regular plan, single location
• 
  [M] Annual Master plan, which contains data for a set of sub plans
• 
  [S] Sub plan, associated with an annual Master Plan

Interim Plans:

• 
  Update plan, single location
• 
  Update Master plan
• 
  Update sub plan

If a plan is open, the [Lock] icon also displays.

Search and Sort Plan Lists

Using the BALANCEapp header on the Open Plan or the Delete Plan tab, search for specific plans by entering a keyword or term in the Search field; then click the Search button. To restore the full list of plans, click [Clear].

Quick Search Tip: Enter a term in the Search field. Then hit ENTER on the keyboard to perform the Search. Use the ESCAPE (ESC) key to clear the Search results.

By default, the Open Plan and Delete Plan lists are organized by Plan ID, but plans can be sorted by clicking on any column header. Click once to sort ascending; twice to sort descending; and a third click will clear the sort on that column. Page navigation tools at the bottom of the page can be used if the number of records exceeds a single page display.

Open a Plan

From either the Recent Plans tab or the Open Plan tab, click the entry in the Plan/Plan Name column to open a plan.

Hide Plans

Navigate to the Open Plan tab for a full list of existing plans, with tools to sort and display plans. Based on system settings, plans created by other users are included in the Open Plan list. To hide plans created by others, check the box next to the tab header command: Show Only Plans I Created.

Delete Plan tab

Plans may only be removed by accessing the Delete Plan tab.

Delete a Plan

Check the box to the left of the plan record. Then select the [Delete] button, which is located below the list. When the confirmation message appears, select [OK].
