Create a Requisition for a Job Opening

Choose Requisitions from the side navigation menu to add one or more Requisitions to the system. balanceTRAK will guide you through the process of developing the Requisition.

Initiate the Process to Add a New Requisition

Click [Add New], a button located above the Requisition list, to initiate the guided process to create a Requisition. Requisition-building steps will be displayed in the side navigation menu:

  • Setup
  • Details
  • Job Descriptions
  • Approval Process
  • Forms
  • Sources
  • Keywords
  • Workflow Settings (Users with appropriated permissions)
  • Summary (Review and confirm settings)

Note: Particular Workflow settings will be configured, based on your organization's screening and hiring procedures.

Once the Requisition is set up, navigation buttons located at the bottom-right of the screen allow you to go to scroll back and forth between steps.

The [Back] button on the bottom-left will return you to the Requisition list.

Save for Later/Resume Creating a Requisition

After completing Setup or a subsequent step in creating a Requisition, you can click the [Save and Return Later] button. Access the saved Requisition by ......

Discard a Draft Requisition

Choose Setup Information

The first navigation bar accesses the Setup menu, which will record the Requisition's key identifyingidentifiers information.and permit the selection of a Template as a model for the new Requisition.

Determine Identifier Information

Location Job Code

  • Add Job Code — (Users with appropriate permissions) If the Job Code drop-down is not sufficient, click the Add New Job Code link. The new Job Code will be inserted into the system’s Job Code Reference table, one of the system's Reference Tables, so that it will be available when adding a future Requisition.

Select a Requisition Template (Optional)

In building the Requisition, select whether to:
  • Select a Template (and pick the template from the provided drop-down)
  • OR

  • Enter new information for this Requisition (default)

Add Multiple Requisitions

Click [Save and Add] when saving the first Requisition. This will open the Add Requisition menu for the next Requisition. When finished, select [Save], or continue with [Save and Add]. If multiple Requisitions were added, the Review Requisition detail will open for most recently saved Requisition.

To develop content for any of the other new Requisitions, select Requisitions from the side navigation menu, and open the Review Requisition detail.
