Control User Access by Location

Integrally linked with Profile Management and user identification, Location Codes control access to BALANCEbTRAK's modules, data, and functions. While the first two settings involve user roles and credentials, Location Code settingsserves to restrict access to information, based on your organization's hierarchy andof establishments. Your organization's units can be categorized in the system by up to four distinct levels (e.g., Location, Business Unit, Subsidiary).

Because of their importance to making sure that users only see information that is relevant to them, Location Codes are also referred to as: User Access Codes.

Make Changes to Location Access

Two software functions are involved in maintaining or editing user access by location:

  • Reference Tables — A Data table, containing all Location Codes, that is critical to system administration and operation
  • AND

  • User Management — The menu of settings, controlling how users are assigned to one or more Location Codes
