Confirm or Edit the History Source
Because the current AAP relies on historical data for supporting analyses, including analysis of progress towards goals set in the previous year, the History Source must be identified. Below are instructions for users with and without prior balanceAAP plans:With Prior Year balanceAAP Plan
If under Create Plan you selected a Prior Year Plan, do one of the following:
- Confirm that selection here as the History Source.
OR
- Select a different prior year’s plan, using the provided drop-downs.
Without Prior balanceAAP Plan
If at plan creation you chose "I do not have a prior year plan in BALANCEaap", the History Settings screen will ask if you would like to create a Start Point Analysis. Select:
- Yes. The system to estimate the necessary statistics for the prior year, based on Roster data, personnel action data, and current plan settings.
- No. Next, under History Information, select a Job Group from the drop-down. Enter a Total Number of Employees; then enter a Total (number of employees) and Availability (percentage) or each Report Group. As appropriate, check the box for: Goal. Click [Save] before proceeding to the next Job Group.
When the settings are complete, click [Apply].
Note: You can change these selections on the subsequent History Source tab, if necessary. Keep in mind that this setting is critical to accurate AAP calculations.
