Export Data for Use Outside the System
Available from Data > Advanced, Export Data allows Reference and Data Tables to be selected and exported into Excel or text formats.
Select Export Options
Select the file type to export to from the drop down list: Excel 2007, Excel 97-2003, or as a text file.(Optional) Limit the data to codes in use by checking the box next to the tagline: Only include used codes (for Department Codes, Grade, Job Group, and Job Code tables).
Select Tables for Export
SelectCheck theoff one or more tables you wish to export, and click [Export].[Export].
Note: If you selected multiple tables, theMultiple tables will export as individual sheets in an Excel file, or as multiple text files, depending on the file type selected.selected above.
Export Data
Depending on the number of files and the amount of data, the Export Data process may take some time to complete. You may choosebalanceAAPcomplete and the browser may be closed and reopened to allow time for a process to run. After reentering balanceAAP,(or click the notificationNotifications icon [Notifications] button, which is located in the topheader navigationbar bar, making it available from all balanceAAP screens. The Notifications list houses information on recent data exports and other processes. The download icon [Download] symbol to the right of a data export record indicates that the activity is complete and available to download.later).
Use the download icon [Download] to save the exported file to your computer or network.
Quick Tip: The Notifications list stores recent data exports. To save time, use the notification icon [Notifications]Notifications buttonicon instead of the [Export] button.
