Use the Master Plan Framework to Develop Narratives

If you are creating Narratives for a set of multiple plans, relying on the Master PlanMaster-Plan/sub-plan format, begin in the Master Plan. Once the global settings and content have been determined, you can move on to customizing a particular sub plan, as necessary.

Apply Global Narrative Settings and Content to Sub plans

All edits made, using menus on the Narratives > Settings tab, will apply to the sub plans; and these settings cannot be changed within the sub plan.

The following elements may be cascaded to sub plans by using a Master Plan option, which will display where applicable and be checked by default:

  • Content for each Narrative Template (e.g., Minorities/Women, IWD)
  • Tags & Values
  • Uploaded Documents that were added through [Manage Documents] (above)

Customize the Sub plan

Content, Tags & Values, and stored Documents may be changed while working in a sub plan, for the specific needs of that plan.

Quick Reminder: If a sub plan setting (e.g., option, tag, content edit) applies to all sub plans, determine it within the Master Plan.
