Gain Insight through Dashboard Metrics and Lists

Typically displaying on entry to balanceTRAK, the Home page Dashboard will be initially configured to contain a default set of tiles, relaying "snapshots" of data, culled from the Job Seekers and Requisitions modules, plus other relevant information.

Each user can configure the Dashboard to his or her own specific needs. These tools, and the tiles they support, are outlined below.

Add a New Tile

With the tool palette activated, click the Default tiles cannot be deleted.[Add Widget] icon to maximize the Add Widget menu on the right side of the Home page. Review the provided options, and click on the pane for the desired widget. When finished, click the [Close] icon, located in the menu header to return to the full Dashboard view.

Work with an Existing Tile

To work with an individual tile, hover your mouse over the tile to activate icons in its toolbar on the lower right. The toolbar accommodates several actions, from refreshing data to determining tile settings, as described next.

Refresh a Tile

On the Home page, Dashboard data will update at the following junctures:

  • On your initial entry to the Home page
  • When a tile's [Refresh] icon is selected

If the Home page has been up for awhile and you would like to make sure a particular tile displays the most current data, choose the [Refresh] icon, located in the lower toolbar's first position on the left.

Pin a Tile

Remove a Tile from the Dashboard

To delete a tile (and return it to the Add Widget menu), choose the [Remove] icon from the tile's lower toolbar.

Quick Tip: The tile can always be added to the Dashboard at a later date, according to the instructions above at: Add a New Tile.)

Default tiles cannot be deleted.

View and Edit a Tile's Settings

Tile Settings control the display and filtering of content, based on Tile type, display behavior, and associatedunderlying data Fields. After choosing the [Settings] icon from the Tile's lower toolbar, use the provided prompts (along with filters, formatting tools, check boxes, and/or toggle switches) to customize the tile. Click the [Save] button to apply the changes.

Settings can be adjusted at any time.

How to Organize the Dashboard Layout

Edit and Save a New Layout

Navigate to the lower right, where a palette of Dashboard tools are available. Click the [Edit] icon, which is the largest button in the palette's center. (This action also activates the other four buttons.)

Grab an existing tile by clicking its center and holding down the mouse. Then, drag the tile to a new location. Click the [Save] button to keep the layout for future viewing.

Have the System Calculate the Best Layout

With the Dashboard tool palette activated, select the [Calculate Optimal Layout] button. The system will calculate an optimal layout, considering the size and orientation of each existing tile.

Restore the Default Layout

From the activated Dashboard tool palette, choose the [Reset Layout to Default] button. This action will reset both the selection and arrangement of tiles to the default setting.
