Establish Recruitment Areas in a Master Plan

RETURN TO:

Before reading the notes below, please review the Help instructions for External Availability (linked above), as the same methods will generally be used.

Assign Default Recruitment Areas and Add RRAs by Sub plan

The sub plan's default RRA will initially reflect the Master Plan default. However, the default RRA may be changed, and recruitment areas may be added, by sub plan.

You may also choose to make later changes in the Master Plan and override the sub plan settings, by checking the box for: Yes, cascade to my sub plans.

Using the Recruitment Area Wizard in a Master Plan

If the Recruitment Area Wizard was used in the Master Plan, those selections will automatically cascade to the sub plans. Wizard settings are not available by sub plan.

Assign RRAs By Job Group in a Master Plan with EEO Code Structure

For a Master Plan with an EEO Code job group structure under http://jennyho:500/wiki/14|PlanPlan Codes (Master Plans only)]],, tabs for Corporate Job Groups and EE0 Job Groups will display.

Assign RRAs to the groups under both tabs. Any changes made will cascade to the sub plans.

Assign Recruitment Areas By Job Group in Sub Plans

The changes made on the Recruitment Areas By Job Group screen affect the master plan job groups and will be applied to those same job groups in all sub plans. In order to further customize the recruitment areas in each individual sub plan you must open the sub plan and make the changes in the External Availability section of that plan.

How Census Code Edits Apply in a Master Plan

Saved changes in a Master Plan for a job title/code will apply to any sub plans containing that job title/code.

Quick Tip: To restrict the change to the Master Plan, use the following method:

  • Display the Census Coding tab by Job Title
  • Click on the Census Code/Description entry
  • Select a different code
  • Click Save.
