Create Aggregate Census Codes
An aggregate Census Code, which is comprised of two or more census codes, can be created, using the balanceAAP > System Tools > Availability /Aggregate Census Codes.
Create an Aggregate Census Code
Add an Aggregate Code
Click the [Add] button. Enter the Aggregate Code (name), using a combination of up to three letters and numbers, such as “MPR.” Then type in a Description. Click [Save] to add the Aggregate Code to the Aggregate Census Codes list.In the Aggregate Code detail, make selections for Census Codes to include by checking the boxes for one or more and clicking [Save].
Distribute Weight fields will appear for each included Census Code to in the right-hand column. Enter values in the fields. Click [Save].
Important Caution: When an aggregate consists of census codes that do not add up to 100 percent, the code will be flagged in red. The aggregate code will still be available wherever census codes may be assigned; however, plan results will not be accurate.
(Recommended for Aggregate Codes containing numerous Census Codes) Distribute Weight Evenly — Click the Distribute Weights link in the table header.
Edit an Aggregate Code
Quick Tool Tip: Click the column headers to resort the list.
Click the [Edit] icon for the record. Once selections are changed, Distribute Weights fields will again display for modification.
Click [Save] when the entries are complete.
