Create Aggregate Census Codes

An aggregate Census Code, which is comprised of two or more census codes, can be created, using the BALANCEaapbalanceAAP > System Tools > Availability /Aggregate Census Codes.

AddCreate an Aggregate Census Code

Add an Aggregate Code

Click the [Add] button. Enter the Aggregate Code (name), using a combination of up to three letters and numbers, such as “MPR.” Then type in a Description. Click [Save] to add the Aggregate Code to the Aggregate Census Codes list.

Once the code is saved, you will be prompted to select census codes to included inIn the Aggregate Code.Code Makedetail, yourmake selections for Census Codes to include by checking the boxes for one or more Census Codes, and clickclicking [Save].

ViewWeight orfields Editwill anappear Aggregatefor each included Census Code

To viewto the combinationright or weighting forof the aggregaterecords. codes,Enter click [Edit] icon for the record. Make changesvalues in the provided edit window.fields. Click [Save].

Important Caution: When an aggregate consists of census codes that do not add up to 100 percent, the code will be flagged in red. The aggregate code will still be available wherever census codes may be assigned; however, plan results will not be accurate.

DeleteDistribute Weight Evenly Click the Distribute Weights link in the table header.

Edit an Aggregate Code

Click the [Edit] icon for the record. ===Delete an Aggregate Code=== To delete an aggregate code you created, click on the [Delete] icon.

If (If the aggregate code record displays without this icon, it cannot be removed.removed.)

Restore Aggregate to Default

For the default codes you have edited, youuse will have athe [Revert] icon to restore the aggregate to the system default.
