Recalculate

Use the Recalculate function to refresh all calculations and reports in your plan. This function can be useful if you are questioning the results of a report, or data on a page. Also, some program errors can be caused by a plan that is not fully calculated. Recalculating a plan can often resolve these errors.

The [Recalculate] process may take some time for the system to complete. Click [Run in Background] to continue working in other areas of the software. The notification panel at the top of the page will provide a message when the process is complete.

BALANCEaap and the browser may be closed and reopened to allow time for the calculations to run. After reentering BALANCEaap, click the notification icon [Notifications] button, which is located in the top navigation bar, making it available from all BALANCEaap screens. The Notifications list houses information on recent plan calculations and other processes. The check icon [Check mark] symbol to the right of a record indicates that the activity is complete.

Validate

The Validate function will analyze and reconcile your reference and data tables, ensuring that data errors are being properly reported. Validation will occur automatically when you are working in the plan, and manually performing this function is usually not necessary. It is provided in case there is a need to verify your data integrity.

View Plan Log

The View Plan Log function will display the Plan Audit Log. This report lists Notifications associated with the plan. You have the option to filter by dates and/or by user.

Plan Backups
