Establish Recruitment Areas in a Master Plan

RETURN TO:

Before reading the notes below, please review the Help instructions for External Availability (linked above), as the same methods will generally be used.

Assign Default Recruitment Areas and Add RRAs by Sub plan

The sub plan's default RRA will initially reflect the Master Plan default. However, at the sub-plan level:

  • Default RRAs may be set.set
  • RRAs may be added to the system and made available for assignment.assignment

You may also choose to make later changes in the Master Plan and override the sub-plan settings, by checking the box for: Yes, cascade to my sub plans.

Using the Recruitment Area Wizard in a Master Plan

If the Recruitment Area Wizard was used in the Master Plan, those selections will automatically cascade to the sub plans. Wizard settings are not available by sub plan.

Assign a Default RRA By Job Group in a Master Plan with EEO Code Structure

If a Master Plan has at least one sub plan with an EEO Code structure, the menu header bar will display Corporate Job Groups and EE0 Job Groups tabs. Assign RRAs to the groups under both tabs to make the defaults available for sub plan use. Although any changes made will cascade to the sub plans, customization at the sub-plan level remains available.

For information on job group structure, see: Plan Codes.

Assign RRA By Job Group in Sub Plans

Any edits made to Recruitment Areas > By Job Group will apply to those job groups where they appear across sub plans. Recruitment Areas may be customized by sub plan.

How Census Code Edits Apply in a Master Plan

Saved changes in a Master Plan for a job title/code will apply to any sub plans containing that job title/code.

Quick Tip: To restrict the change to the Master Plan, use the following method:

  • Display the Census Coding tab by Job Title
  • Click on the Census Code/Description entry
  • Select a different code
  • Click Save.
