Create Aggregate Census Codes

An aggregate census codecode, which is a combinationcomprised of two or more weighted census codes with each code individually weighted. If you want to combine certain census codes into one aggregate code youcodes, can createbe thecreated, aggregate codes here. On this screen you will see a list of all current aggregate census codes. To add an aggregate code, click the Add button. An edit window will appear where you can enterusing the Aggregate Census Codes page.

Add an Aggregate Census Code

Click the [Add] button. Enter the Aggregate Code, using a combination of up to three letters and numbersnumbers, such as “MPR”. The code can only be a maximum of three characters.“MPR.” Then type in a description that will be used to identify what the code relates to such as “Marketing/Sales and Public Relations Manager”.Manager.” Click Save to createwhen the aggregateentries code.are complete.

Once yourthe code andis description are savedsaved, you will be prompted to select which current census codes you want to combine for this aggregate. Make your selections by checking off the boxes for each code you want to includeinclude, and click Save[Save].

Distribute Weights You can evenly distribute the weights among all the census codes by clicking the Distribute Weights button.

After setting the appropriate weights for each individualcensus code.code in the aggregate, click [Save] again. Once you create the aggregate codes here, they are added to the External Availability / Census Coding tab list.

Note: The weight must add up to 100%100 percent, and you will see the weight highlighted in red if it is under or over 100%.that You can also evenly distribute the weights among all the census codes by clicking the Distribute Weights button. After setting the appropriate weights for each census code in the aggregate click Save again. Once you create the aggregate codes here they are then added to the census code list found under the External Availability Census Coding section. amount.

View or Edit an Aggregate Code

To view the combination or weighting for the aggregate codescodes, click on the Edit icon next to the aggregate code. An edit window will appearappear, allowing you to view and make changes to the census codes included in the aggregate. Once you click Save you will then be able to view and edit the weights assigned. To delete an aggregate code that you created click on the Delete icon. Since you cannot delete the standard aggregate census codes, you will only see a delete icon next to the codes you created. For the default codes that you have edited, you will have a revert icon to restore the aggregate to the system default icon.

When an aggregate consists of census codes that do not add up to 100%,100 percent, the code will be flagged red on the Manage Aggregate CodesAggregates screen. The aggregate will still be available wherever census codes may be assigned, however the results will not be accurate until the aggregate code has been corrected.

Delete an Aggregate Code

To delete an aggregate code that you created click on the Delete icon. Since you cannot delete the standard aggregate census codes, you will only see a delete icon next to the codes you created.

Restore Aggregate to Default

For the default codes you have edited, you will have a revert icon to restore the aggregate to the system default.
