Set Workflow / Posting Dates

PRIOR STEP: Implement Keywords to Score Resumes

KEY TOPICS:

  • Workflow: Cap the Number of Job Seekers (Optional)
  • Determine Posting Dates

NEXT STEP: Review Summary and Save the Requisition

Automate Job Posting Settings

Representing the final steps in building a new Requisition, tabs for Workflow and Posting Dates provide options to:

  • Set a Job Seeker threshold that will trigger the Requisition to stop accepting applications
  • Determine the timing for posting of the job opening

Quick Reminder: For organizations using Requisition Templates, the Workflow setting and the Posting Dates (e.g., number of days posted)live) can be auto-populated into the new Requisition by selecting a Template. In the Template, these settings may be preset by your organization, or these options may be editable.

Workflow: Cap the Number of Job Seekers (Optional)

While building the new Requisition, proceed to the Workflow task, and complete the Job Seeker Limits menu:

  1. Check the box to turn this feature on, next to the tagline: Stop accepting new candidates when [XX] people have applied.
  2. Using the provided Up/Down arrows, enter a maximum number of Job Seekers allowed.

When the limit is reached, the header setting in the Requisition detail for Accepting New Job Seekers (along with Posted Externally / Posted Internally) will be turned off.

Click the [Next Step] button to move on to the Posting Dates menu.

Determine Job Posting Dates

If your organization has an Approval Process in place — or alternatively, you want to align the Job Posting Date with the Requisition's "Open" status — check the box, next to the tagline:

Date Range automatically set to Approval Date or Date Opened

Next, review a group of toggle switches, associated with the Posting Start Date, and determine the appropriate settings —

When job is approved or posting start date is reached, set the following:

  • Accept new job seekers
  • Post Externally
  • Post Internally

Finally, set the Posting End Date by checking the box next to the tagline: Post for a total of [XX] days. Scroll with the provided Up/Down arrows to choose a number entry (e.g., 14 days).

Click the [Next Step] button to move on to the Summary.
